In 2004, the Al-Barkaat Education Society established the Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh-based Al-Barkaat Institute of Management Studies. The institute offers a 2-year, AICTE-approved MBA programme with six specialisations that is associated with UPTU.

Al Barkaat Institute MBA Admission:

The MBA programme at the Al-Barkaat Institute of Management Studies is available in six different specialisations. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have earned a minimum of 50% on their graduation exams in any discipline. For admission, candidates must have a valid score from the UPSEE, CAT, MAT, or CMAT.

Those who complete their graduation requirements with a minimum of 50% and take the UPSEE are given first preference. Candidates who have a graduation GPA of at least 50% and take the CAT, MAT, or CMAT are given second preference.

50% of the seats available at the institute are filled through counseling, which is done by UPTU for candidates who have passed the UPSEE, CAT, MAT, or CMAT. Students from the minority community who pass an institute-level entrance exam are given the remaining 50% of the seats.

• Candidates who are taking their senior year graduation exam can also apply for this course as long as they provide documentation of successful completion upon admission.
• The institute may admit students from non-minority communities if seats designated for members of the minority community are vacant. To be considered for admission, such applicants must take the institute entrance exam.
