Founded in 2008, AVS Engineering College (AVSEC) is one of the most prestigious institutions in Steel City Salem, Tamil Nadu. The college is located at Ammapet, Salem-3, well within the city limits of Salem. Salem Town Railway Station is 2 km away from the campus, and Salem Junction is 7 km away. It is well known for providing aspiring managers and engineers with high-quality education. The UGC Act of 1956's 2(f) recognises it. It is associated with Anna University and has AICTE approval.

Founded in 2008, AVS Engineering College (AVSEC) is a Salem-based private college. AVSEC is associated with Anna University in Chennai and has received approval from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi.
AVS Engineering College provides UG B.E. courses in a range of subjects, as well as PG M.E. and MBA/PGDM degrees.
- Admission to the BE programme will be granted to students based on their HSC exam scores and TNEA counselling.

AVSEC Salem Placements
Many businesses visited AVS Engineering College's campus in order to fill positions. It has an amazing placement history. Six forty-five offers were made to the students by the eighty-three companies that visited the campus. Recruiting firms extended offers to 373 pupils.
More professional opportunities for our students have been added in addition to the Memorandums of Understanding with Schneider Electric, Sensiple, Zoho Creator, NFN Labs, Barola Airways, Srishti, EEDISSIA, DatadesQ, Qspiders, Talent.io, Techgig, and Trueesailogo.
Compared to the placement season of 2018–19, there were more offers and companies during the season. 96% of the students were placed on campus. 83 businesses came to the school to hire, and 373 students were given jobs. There were 645 offers made in all. 187 pupils received more than one offer. Thirty-one of the 83 firms that visited the campus were from the Core industry, twenty-seven were from the IT sector, nine were for MBAs, ten were for ITES, and seven were general. Nine organisations provided a pay package exceeding Rs. 3 lakh, while four companies offered a salary package exceeding Rs. 6 lakh.
Sixty-six firms visited in 2018–19 for recruitment purposes, and 636 offers were made. A total of 340 pupils were assigned. 176 students received more than two offers at the time of placement. Thirteen firms were for MBA, eight were for ITES, two were general, and twenty-six were for Core.
AVSEC Salem Facilities
AVS Engineering College offers a wide range of facilities to meet the needs of its professors and students. It offers the students a wide range of amenities, such as food courts, sports facilities, labs, libraries, hostels, and gyms. These are the following:
Transport: Within a 90-kilometer radius, AVSEC offers the service of more than 30 buses with concession costs.
Hostel: With amenities including a mess, reading rooms, dorms, playgrounds, and indoor gaming areas, there are separate hostels for males and girls. Additionally, there is a free internet connection via Wi-Fi systems, a RO plant, and a 24-hour backup.
Gym: On campus, there is a well-equipped gym. Both faculty members and students are welcome to attend.
Library: With 36,152 book volumes, 174 journals, and 1062 e-journals, the library is well-stocked. Additionally, DELNET was created in order to gather and distribute information to students.
Food Court: AVSEC's Food Court is a well furnished canteen. It provides clean snacks and food.
Prayer Hall: Every morning, a prayer song is played in the prayer hall to encourage pupils to pray. Additionally, a separate hall is constructed each week on Friday afternoons for the Muslim pupils to complete NAMAS.
Parlour: The campus offers a parlour with first-rate services for female students.
Infrastructure: The good infrastructure of the college is demonstrated by its spacious buildings and well-designed labs and classrooms. Every building block has an optical fibre backbone, and labs and libraries are connected to the internet via it. The college's two generator units and 125KV HT line ensure that there is never a power outage on campus.
