    Cambridge Institute of Technology Bangalore

The Umesh Education Trust allowed for the establishment of Cambridge Institute of Technology, an autonomous institute, in 1964. Four undergraduate programs offered by the institute are accredited by NBA: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Information Science and Engineering. The institute is approved by AICTE, affiliated with Visveswaraya Technological University Belagavi, and has an A+ accreditation from NAAC. Additionally, CIT has an NIRF Innovation ranking in the 101–150 range. Under the C2S program, CIT has been awarded a prestigious project worth INR 494 lakhs by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Government of India. It is collaborating with prestigious institutes to carry out 15 crore rupee sponsored projects from DRDO and ISRO. In addition to numerous other awards, CIT has won the Samsung Alliance Award, the CII Sustainability Award, and the Institute of Engineers' Best Performer Award.

Four PG programs and seven UG programs are available at CIT. VTU has awarded recognition to eight research centres for their promotion of doctoral programs. The AICTE and MOE-sponsored Institute Innovation Council has consistently received 4- and 5-star ratings. OBE is being successfully implemented by CIT in order to provide high-quality instruction and achieve academic success. To encourage a research culture on campus, the institute set up Advanced research labs on Emerging Technologies. Full-fledged Cambrian Consulting Centre for Industrial Research (CCCIR) is available at the Institute, where students can receive specialised training and opportunities to work on funded and sponsored projects.

The Institute works with industries and Fortune 500 companies to carry out consulting projects valued at about INR 50 LPA. The Institute prioritises innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship in its efforts to create a sustainable ecosystem. Through a unique program called "CHOSS," or the Cambrian House of Student Startups, the institute has already helped ten students launch their own startups. The "SEED" innovation challenge is held annually as part of this program, and the top 10 student teams are given ongoing mentoring and support through seed funding worth INR one lac.

Through its annual project competition, "INTUIT," the Institute focusses on various pedagogical tools, ICT-enabled teaching, and experiential learning. The projects are evaluated, and the best ones receive awards. Students are encouraged by CIT to engage in co-curricular, extracurricular, and athletic activities. CHIGURU is a highly popular cultural event and one of the institute's unique selling points.

Career counselling, soft skill development, and skill enhancement training are the goals of the talent transformation department (Placement). Its efforts are directed towards accomplishing the optimal placement target. As a result, we currently have over 175 companies as recruiters, and we have a placement rate of over 90%. Cambridge Institute of Technology is a "Zero waste campus" that places a high priority on sustainable best practices. In partnership with Samsung, CIT operates the "Samsung Innovation and Data Lab," "INTEL FPGA," "WIPRO 3D," and EOS "Additive Manufacturing" industry labs on campus.

To train students in the field of semiconductor technology and work on industrial projects, CIT established the Semiconductor System Engineering and Innovation Centre, the Centre of Excellence in VLSI with Synopsys, the RISC V Lab with Thales, and VLSI Training with Chip Edge. Additionally, experts from Samsung India Ltd. are providing a comprehensive course on AIML, advanced programming, and IOT, and Samsung is providing intensive training in emerging technologies to the chosen students. For a select group of students, there is an exclusive program called "PRISM" (Preparing and Inspiring Students Minds). Students will be able to work on real projects as part of this program.

The placement procedure for the class of 2022–2023 at Cambridge Institute of Technology is now complete. Top employers include Amazon, Capgemini, Ola, Samsung, Infosys, and so forth. The Cambridge Institute of Technology's most expensive package cost INR 27 LPA. Over one hundred and sixty companies came to the campus for the recruitment drive.
