The Umesh Education Trust allowed for the establishment of Cambridge Institute of Technology, an autonomous institute, in 1964. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 50% of the possible points (45% for SC/ST/Category 1 and OBC candidates) is the minimal requirement for postgraduate programs. Candidates for the MCA program must have completed mathematics coursework at the 10+2 or graduate levels.
