Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College is regarded as one of the best in the state of Karnataka and one of the top medical colleges in the country. It was founded in 1981 in Bengaluru and has grown significantly over the years. It currently offers a variety of medical courses in a variety of fields, including undergraduate and postgraduate specialisations.
- Candidates are admitted to the institute on the basis of merit. Admission to undergraduate programmes is based on performance in the entrance examination.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College UG Admissions:
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College admits students to the MBBS programme based on their performance in the All-India qualifying examination, NEET. The All India Rank and percentile in the NEET must be submitted to the college before admission is granted.
Every year in May, NEET takes place on the first or second Sunday. The CBSE, New Delhi, administers the national level standard test for admission to medical courses.
- The examination will last three hours.
- The exam is divided into four sections: physics, chemistry, zoology, and botany.
- For each correct answer, four points are awarded, and one point is deducted for each incorrect answer.
- The syllabus includes topics covered in the relevant subjects at the +2 level.

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes must apply through the official website within the time frame specified. To be considered for admission to the college, candidates must register for and take the NEET.
- To apply, the candidate must have passed / be appearing / have appeared at the 10+2 level in the Science stream.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English are required subjects for MBBS courses at the +2 level.
- Candidates from the reserved category receive a 5% reduction in the minimum required percentage.
- To apply, candidates must be at least 17 years old.
- NRI candidates may be selected separately through an independently administered Common Entrance Test.
- The selection process is based on performance in the national level entrance examination, NEET.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College PG Admissions:
At the postgraduate level, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College offers MD and MS degrees in a variety of specialisations. Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the NEET PG All-India qualifying examination.
NEET PG is a national level standard test for admission to medical courses administered by CBSE, New Delhi.
- The test is scheduled to last three and a half hours.
- The examination consists of 300 questions covering all relevant areas of study at the undergraduate level.
- There are no negative points.

Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate programmes should apply through the official website within the time frame specified. To be considered for admission to the college, candidates must register for and take the NEET PG exam.
Candidates must have completed a one-year internship from a recognised institution by March 31st of the application year.
It is mandatory to take the NEET PG exam.

- 12th grade Original and three attested copies of the mark sheet or passing certificate
- Class 10th Passing Certificate - Original and three attested copies for proof of date of birth
