In 2004, the DY Patil University School of Ayurveda was founded. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi, the Department of AYUSH, and the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) have all given their approval. A separate ayurvedic hospital is located inside the school. The college offers 12 different PG Ayurvedic programmes in addition to one UG course. Additionally, it provides a Ph.D. programme, a certificate course, and four different diploma programmes. Among the best universities in India, the DY Patil University School of Ayurveda was ranked 55th by NIRF.

DY Patil University School of Ayurveda Admissions:
Four courses are offered in 12 specialisations at the DY Patil University School of Ayurveda in Navi Mumbai. The college offers undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the study of ayurveda. The prerequisites differ depending on the course. The students are chosen based on their performance in the entrance exams and the KLEU-AIET or AIAPGET cut-off for UG or PG programmes, respectively.
- The candidate must meet the cutoff percentages for AIET and the 10+2 exam in order to be admitted to B.A.M.S.
- Candidates must achieve a minimum cut-off of AIAPGET and 50% in B.A.M.S. to be eligible for the M.D./M.S. course.

The DY Patil School of Ayurveda offers its students a one-year internship. Both the college hospital and government hospitals in various rural and urban areas require the students to complete a six-month internship. After completing the internship, the students have enough training in this year to be qualified to work in hospitals.
