In Coimbatore, the Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HICET) was founded in the year 2000. The college is self-governing. Undergraduate and graduate studies in many specialisations are available at the college. The four-year undergraduate programme is called B.E. Two-year and three-year M.E. and MBA programmes are available, respectively. Admissions for HICET's BTech and BE programmes are now open for the 2023 school year.

• It is possible to complete the application forms offline.
• At least a passing grade in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects is required for admission to the B.E. programme.
• The B.E programme admits students based on their performance in the qualifying test administered by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).
• A bachelor's degree with mathematics or statistics as one of the major topics is the minimal requirement to be eligible for an MCA.
• For admission to M.Tech and MBA programmes, a bachelor's degree in a related field is necessary.
