IFET College of Engineering, Villupuram
Located in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, the IFET College of Engineering [IFET] is a platinum category college that was established in 1998. Prominent Industrialists, NRIs, and the Indo French Educational Trust (IFET) founded the NAAC-accredited college. The Anna University-affiliated Autonomous College provides undergraduate and graduate courses in a range of subjects. The College participates in Cisco Networking Academy courses to advance career-building initiatives and improve IT skills.
At the undergraduate level, the IFET College of Engineering [IFET], located in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, provides a BE with five specialisations and a B.Tech with one specialisation. Postgraduate programmes include an MBA with three specialisations and a ME with two specialisations. Additionally, it provides courses in technical English, engineering physics, math, chemistry, and physics for electronics engineering.
Undergraduate programme admission is determined by merit plus TNEA counselling. Candidates must take entrance tests such as TANCET, CET, and GATE in order to be considered for postgraduate programmes.

IFET College of Engineering Admissions
IFET offers UG BE and B.Tech programmes as well as PG ME and MBA programmes. UG admissions are determined by merit, but PG admissions are determined by entry. Candidates seeking admission to the BE or B.Tech programme must meet the minimum eligibility criteria of passing the 10+2 exam from an accredited board. Conversely, candidates with a BE or B.Tech degree can apply for an MBA or ME after graduating from any stream.
- Seats for M.E. courses will be distributed through TANCA Counselling based on TANCET/GATE scores.
- TANCET results are used to determine admission to the MBA programme. TANCA MBA Counselling comes next.

IFET College of Engineering was established in Tamil Nadu's Villupuram in 1998. The college and Anna University are connected. It holds NBA and NAAC accreditations. The AICTE has also authorised the college.
The UGC has recognised IFET College of Engineering as an independent institution, effective for the academic year. Anna University placed it ninth out of 497 colleges in Tamil Nadu.
It was only recently that the 2018–2019 passing out batch saw a record high of 93.9% in placements. Some of the well-known corporations hired the kids through college placement on campus.

Documents Required
To register for TANCA counselling, candidates must provide scanned copies of the following documents:
- Mark sheets for the X, XII, or three-year diploma The qualifying degree certificate, the provisional certificate, the semester-by-semester mark sheets, or the consolidated mark sheet.
- Transfer certificate from the last school attended
- For GATE eligible categories, a valid GATE score card and TANCET hall pass are required.
- Only in digital signature e-Certificate format or as an electronic version of the Disability Nativity Certificate. (If relevant)
- A copy of the identity certificate from the Tahsildar's head office, or—for candidates who are Sri Lankan refugees—a passport, visa, and letter recorded at the police station
