One of the most significant seagoing cadet training facilities in the country is International Maritime Academy, which is located in Chennai. It is the Premier Academy for Maritime Education in India. Within the academy grounds, the Institute has built a Ship-In-Campus training facility of its own. It has a solid reputation in the field of maritime education and training and offers all students excellent training. It also has a state-of-the-art maritime workshop, training tools, and other equipment to offer top-notch instruction to all aspiring workers. The International Accreditation Organisation has granted the Institute accreditation and the Directorate General of Shipping has granted approval. IMA Chennai MBA Admission
Located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, International Maritime Academy (IMA) is a residential marine institute that was founded in 1999. Offering a range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programmes in the area of marine services and management, it is associated with Annamalai University.
The institute provides a regular and distance-learning MBA programme at the postgraduate level, with five specialisations available. The MCA, M.Tech, and MIB courses are among the other postgraduate courses that International Maritime Academy offers in addition to the MBA.
Merit-based admission to the aforementioned courses is contingent upon passing a personal interview and medical exam.

- any degree with 50% from an accredited university.
- Mariners with the following professional qualifications, acquired following a minimum of six years of study and training following their 10+2 graduation, including Master Foreign Going Chief Engineer: First Class Motor, Steam, or Combined Certificate of Competency A certificate of competency granted by the Ministry of Shipping, Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India, or equivalent agencies abroad.
IMA Chennai MBA Selection Criteria
Admission will be determined by the results of prior qualifying exams, employment history, and performance in the medical examination and personal interview.
How to Apply for IMA Chennai?
Candidates can get the individual application forms from the IMA office or download them from the college website for each course. If the applicant is qualified, they have to send the completed application to the campus, along with a DD, in order to reserve a seat.
- The application form is available to candidates online or at the campus office.
- The completed application form and a bank draft payable to "International Maritime Academy" payable in Chennai, along with a payment of INR 5,000/-can be sent by qualified candidates to reserve their seats.
- The medical exam, interview, and certificate verification round that will take place at the IMA office will then be disclosed to the candidates.
- Before the course begins, students who pass the medical exam and any additional testing should pay the remaining course fees.
