JEE Main 2022 Exam Rescheduled to June and July
According to reports, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has come out with new and revised dates for the JEE Main Exam 2022. As per the notification, session 1 of this exam will be held from June 20-29, 2022 across 10 continuous days. As for the 2nd session of this engineering exam, it too shall be held for 10 continuous days, between July 21-30, 2022.
This decision comes days after students and aspirants had been demanding a postponement of the said exam. Thus, interested candidates are requested to keep checking on the official websites i.e. https://nta.ac.in/ and https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/
Furthermore, the NTA notification had this to say about the registration process for the same,
"The registration for session 1 is over now. The schedule for inviting the online Application Forms for session 2 of JEE (Main) – 2022 will be available soon."
As far as the “Application Correction Window” for this session is concerned, it has already started yesterday i.e. 6th Wednesday 2022. Thus, candidates seek to make the necessary changes/edits to their online applications. This facility will be open till tomorrow i.e. 8th April 2022.
Apart from this, it’s also important to know that the NTA has reverted back to the “2-session formula” (as mentioned before) and will consist of 2 papers this year. Many students have demanded that the exam be held in the “4-session format” like the previous year. However, the NTA has not responded officially as of yet.
The JEE Exam is conducted for those candidates who seek admission into UG engineering and architecture courses (B.E and B.Tech) at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NIT). It’s only after passing this exam that individuals are eligible for the JEE Advanced Exam.
