Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences is a deemed university that was founded in 1982. The Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programmes in Biotechnology, Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, and Nursing. Additionally, it offers Ph.D. programmes in nursing, pharmacology, microbiology, community medicine, and anatomy.
In addition to these, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) also provides PG diploma programmes in Orthopedics, Child Health, Medical Radio Diagnosis, Legal System, Anesthesia, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. The university also offers Super Specialty courses in plastic surgery and neurosurgery, as well as Post-Doctoral Fellowships with a 1-year duration in 11 different fields.
- Candidates who want to enrol in Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) should submit an application to the Deemed University along with their All India Rank, percentile of NEET scores for admissions to MBBS and BDS, and NEET-PG scores for admissions to PG and PG Diploma programmes.
- You can only access the application form for MBBS/BDS and PG/PG diploma course intimation purposes to the university on the official website. The same website also contains the application forms for PhD, Post-Doctoral Fellowship, and Super Specialty courses.
- The application fee for MBBS, BDS, PG, and PG diploma is INR 5,000, while the fee for a PhD is INR 1,500.
- A candidate for admission to the MBBS or BDS programme must be 17 years old by December 31 of the academic year. The applicant must have earned at least 50% on their HSC or equivalent exam in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, as well as English. Candidates for B.Sc. Nursing and Bachelor in Physiotherapy must have completed their 10+2 in Science (PCB) and English from a recognised board with an overall grade point average of 45%.
- Candidates for the MS, MDS, and MD programmes must have completed their MBBS degrees from a medical school with a minimum GPA of 50%.
- Candidates for admission to the M.P.Th. programme must have earned a B.P.Th. from an accredited physiotherapy college with a minimum grade of 50%. Candidates who have passed a B.Sc. exam with at least a 50% overall score are eligible for the M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Microbiology programme.
- Candidates for the M.Sc. in nursing must have completed their B.Sc. in nursing, B.Sc. in nursing with honours, or post-basic B.Sc. in nursing with a minimum of 55% overall.
- A Master's degree or a professional degree equivalent to a Master's degree with at least 55% overall marks is required for admission to PhD and Super Speciality courses.
- According to the candidate's performance on the university's entrance exam, admission to PhD and post-doctoral programmes is determined.
