Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore
The 1984-founded Kumaraguru College of Technology is situated on Coimbatore's outskirts. Kumaraguru College of Technology, or KCT for short, is an independent engineering college that funds itself.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has granted the college approval and it is associated with Anna University. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Council (UGC) have accredited every course that KCT offers.
The college provides 15 postgraduate programmes (MBA) and 14 undergraduate programmes in subjects like science and humanities, artificial intelligence and data science, electronics and instrumentation engineering, and information science and engineering.
In addition, the college offers nine accredited research programmes, including those in computer science and engineering, physics, chemistry, textile technology, electronics and communication engineering, and computer science.
Applications can be turned in in person or online for every course offered by KCT. The college's entrance exam results and the quality of the 10+2/equivalent qualifying exams are used to determine admissions.

Kumaraguru College of Technology Coimbatore Admission
Famous for offering engineering programmes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, KCT offers. In addition to these, the college provides research programmes like MBA.
All courses, with the exception of research, have admissions processes handled by Anna University. After receiving their board exam results, qualified candidates must attend TNEA Counselling in order to secure admission in programmes. On the other hand, students enrolled in postgraduate courses like MBA must take the TANCET exam and then receive TANCET counselling.
Placements are just as important to KCT Coimbatore as academics. According to reports from the previous year, about 220 companies visited the campus, placing about 705 students and making 851 offers.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university with a bachelor's degree with at least 60% (or 55% in the case of reserved categories).
NOTE: Candidates for the MBA programme must have completed graduate-level or 10+2 mathematics coursework.
Kumaraguru College of Technology PG Selection Criteria
- Candidates must show up for the Anna University-conducted TANCET exam in order to be admitted to PG courses.
- The university will release a merit list following the announcement of results, which will be based on TANCET exam ranking.
- The people whose names appear on this list are invited to the TANCET Counselling.
- For MBA admission, candidates with a MAT score of 500 or higher are also taken into consideration. These applicants must show up in person for the counselling session.
- In order to participate in the counselling rounds, candidates must fill out an online registration form and select their course and college (KCT). They must also have their documentation authenticated.
- Following verification, seats will be assigned by the relevant authority according to the student's choices and rank.
How to Apply?
In order to apply for postgraduate courses, students must register for both the counselling and TANCET exam. The following are the steps to apply:
- Go to TANCET's official website.
- Select the link labelled "Registration."
- To register, enter your name, email address, and phone number, among other basic information.
- You will receive a key on the mobile number you registered.
- To fill out the application, log in now with your registered email address, password, and TANCET key.
- Upload document scanned images as well.
- After completing the form, pay the INR 600 application fee (INR 300 for candidates who are SC, SCA, or ST) online with a credit card, debit card, or net banking account.
- Once payment has been received, submit the form and print it off for your records.

KCT features a sizable auditorium that can accommodate 1800 people in seats. Central air conditioning is another feature of the auditorium.
Mahatma Gandhi Central Library : The library occupies 16945 square feet of space. The library is home to an enormous collection of books with 67598 titles and 107534 volumes. Additionally, it has subscriptions to 59 magazines, 8829 international online journals, and 186 print journals.
Seminar Halls: The administrative building, Dr. Mahalingam Vigyan Bhavan, has four air-conditioned seminar halls that can accommodate 250 people each. Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Dr. C.V. Raman, Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and Swami Vivekananda are their names.
Computing Infrastructure: Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Zenith are just a few of the manufacturers of high-end processor personal computers that KCT has in large quantities. There are 120 PCs in the first-year computer lab that are used to teach students the fundamentals of computing. About 120 personal computers are used in the Centralised Computer-Aided Design Lab (CAD), while 45 workstations are employed in the language lab.
Medical Centre: Aruljothi Medical Centre is an eight-bed hospital on campus that employs two nurses and one doctor. Patients in need of specialised care are referred to the multispecialty hospitals that are closest to the institution.
Cafeteria: Both staff and students have access to the campus cafeteria. Within the campus are three additional smaller cafes and snack shops. Fresh juices, baked goods, and high-quality vegetarian food are available at the cafeteria.
Transportation: To get students and employees from various locations in and around Coimbatore to the college and back, the college maintains a fleet of buses, vans and cars. These buses run on various routes, leaving from various locations at roughly 6.30 and 6.45 in the morning. Currently in use are 13 buses, 4 minibuses, and 1 van.
Sports: KCT hosts outdoor football, hockey, cricket, basketball, volleyball, ball badminton, kabaddi, tennis, handball, throwball, and Kho-Kho on its 23 acres of playfields. On campus, there is a gym as well.
Hostel: KCT offers dorms for both boys and girls on campus. With 510 rooms spread across 6 blocks, the boy's hostel can house 2088 students.With three blocks and 264 rooms, the girl's hostel can house 1216 students.
Wi-Fi :The college also features banks, book stores, and Wi-Fi available throughout the campus.
