The M. Kumarasamy Health and Educational Trust founded M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering in 2000. This is the first engineering college in the Karur area to be founded. MKCE is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi, and is associated with Anna University. It is an independent institution connected to Chennai's Anna University and approved by the NAAC.
