Madras Christian College (MCC), Chennai
Located in Chennai, Madras Christian College (MCC) is a private liberal arts and sciences college. As one of the oldest colleges still in existence in Asia, MCC was founded in 1837 and is associated with Madras University. In the areas of arts, science, and commerce, Madras Christian College offers more than 40 courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels. MCC Chennai offers 17 aided streams and 16 self-financed streams for its course offerings.
Madras Christian College offers merit-based admission to all of its UG and PG programmes (with the exception of MCA), which is followed by college-run counselling. Admission to MCA programmes is determined by the TANCET exam, which is followed by counselling. Through its School of Continuing Education, MCC also provides a number of courses focused on career development and job-oriented skills.

Key Points:
- As of July 1, the age limit for admission to undergraduate courses is 21 years old. For candidates who are disabled, a five-year relaxation is allowed; for female candidates, it is three years.
- Candidates from boards other than Tamil Nadu State Board, CBSE, AISSCE, and ISCE must produce eligibility certificate from the University of Madras.
- All candidates who pass the Tamil Nadu State Board Higher Secondary Examination through private study, as well as those who pass the CBSE or OPEN SCHOOL SYSTEM privately, must also present an eligibility certificate.
