NEET-PG 2025 Postponed: Board to introduce more exam centres

NEET-PG 2025 Postponed: Board to introduce more exam centres

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the postponement of the NEET-PG 2025 examination, following a directive from the Supreme Court of India to conduct the exam in a single shift instead of two. The decision came after multiple rumours of paper leaks and disparities in difficulty levels in the exam, This step will ensure transparency and fairness in the examination process.

The NEET-PG 2025, originally scheduled for June 15, will now be held at a later date to allow for logistical adjustments, including the arrangement of additional test centres and necessary infrastructure upgrades. The revised date for the exam will be announced soon, along with the city slip announcement and admit card and more.

The Supreme Court, in its order on May 30, directed the NBEMS to conduct the exam in a single shift, rejecting the previous plan of holding it in two shifts. The decision came in response to a petition filed by candidates challenging the two-shift format

    Logistical Challenges

The NBEMS acknowledged that conducting the exam in a single shift would require 900 additional test centres across the country. The board assured candidates that efforts are underway to identify secure centres and upgrade infrastructure to meet the court’s standards. Considering the challenges of paper leaks and more, NBEMS is going to conduct the exam in only the most reliable exam centres.

The postponement has caused uncertainty among medical graduates preparing for the crucial postgraduate entrance test. However, authorities have assured that the delay is necessary to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.
