    NEET UG Result 2025: The NEET UG Results 2025 will be released on 14 June 2025 by NTA for courses like MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, etc. After the result, the answer key and cut-off marks will also be released on the official website. Afterwards, the NEET UG counselling process is likely to start in July/August 2025. Shortlisted candidates are required to register, fill in their college choices, and participate in seat allotment for MBBS, BDS, and allied courses.

    NEET UG Results 2025

The NEET 2025 exam was held on 4 May 2025 for approximately 22.7 lakh candidates at 4,750 centres in 557 cities, including 14 international locations.     The NEET UG 2025 toppers list will be officially released by the National Testing Agency along with the result announcement on 14 June 2025. The toppers list will show the names, All India Ranks (AIR), scores, categories, genders, and states of the students who scored the highest. 

    Students should check the NTA NEET website for the latest updates about the NEET result 2025 toppers list. For example, in NEET 2024, the top scorers came from different states and categories, with some getting AIR 1 by scoring full marks.

    NEET UG Cutoff 2025

    The NEET UG Cutoff 2025 will be announced by the NTA, which represents the minimum marks required for candidates to qualify for MBBS and BDS admissions in India. The cutoff varies each year based on factors like exam difficulty, number of candidates, and seat availability. For NEET UG 2025, experts expect the cutoff to be similar to or a bit higher than 2024, as the Physics section was challenging.

    What’s Next after the NEET Results?

    After the NEET results are out, the next step is the counselling process for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in India. The NEET UG 2025 counselling process will tentatively start at the end of July or early August 2025. The Counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the 15% AIQ seats and seats in central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and other national institutes, while state authorities manage the remaining 85% state quota seats.

    Eligible candidates must first register on the official MCC or respective state counselling websites and pay the required fee to participate in the counselling. After registration, candidates have to fill out and lock their preferred choices of colleges and courses. Based on their NEET rank, category, and preferences, seats are allotted in multiple rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round). 

    Later, each round, seat allotment results are published, and candidates must report to the allotted college for document verification and admission formalities. Candidates can participate in further rounds if they are not satisfied with their allotted seat, or if they are seeking upgradation, if they meet the eligibility criteria for subsequent rounds.

    NEET UG Merit List 2025

    The NEET UG 2025 merit list will be declared online by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after results are announced on 14 June 2025. Candidates can go to the official website to access the merit list and their individual scorecard. It includes details such as the Candidate’s name, roll number, AIR, category rank, etc. 

    Candidates who meet or exceed the qualifying cut-off percentile, 50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwD, are included in the merit list and become eligible for counselling. In addition, there are various types of merit lists for the NEET UG Exam 2025, including the Overall Merit List, the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) Merit List, and the State Quota Merit List.     • Overall Merit List: The NEET UG overall merit list is prepared by the NTA and includes the names and ranks of all candidates who appeared for NEET UG 2025. It is also shared with all national and state counselling authorities.
    • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) Merit List: This merit list consists of the names of candidates eligible for the 15% AIQ seats, prepared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
    • State Quota Merit Lists: Each state prepares its own merit list for 85% of the state quota seats based on candidates who qualify and register for that state's counselling.
