NMAT 2022 Exam: Recent Updates; All You Need to Know

The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has come out with updates regarding the NMAT Exam for the year 2022. The update states that the additional registration process for said exam will begin on January 3rd, 2022 and shall be open till January 9th, 2022.

Candidates can apply for the same from the official portal i.e. register.nmat.org. Candidates who had previously registered can do so this year too by entering their registered mobile number and password to complete the additional registration.

Those candidates who have exhausted all 3 of their attempts (exam + 2 retakes) between July 1st, 2021 - June 30th, 2022 aren’t eligible for the additional registration.

Important Details to Remember

Though students might have a decent idea about the NMAT Exam, these points will clear any doubt anyone has regarding this exam.

The NMAT Exam 2022 will be conducted from January 11th, 2022 to January 15th, 2022
The exam slots are filled on a first come-first serve basis i.e. the earlier your register the better.
The NMAT Exam 2022 shall be an online proctored exam
It will be held on certain days between July 1st, 2021 - June 30th, 2022 i.e. the Testing Period.
Candidates who have already registered need not create a new account.
Most schools have extended their application deadline
The Registration fee for the NMAT Exam 2022 will be INR 2,300 (plus taxes) for both the main and retake attempt.
Candidates are free to choose their “mode of examination” between the test centre and their homes.

Registration Process

After going to the official GMAC website i.e. register.nmat.org, the below-mentioned steps need to be followed.

Click on “Register” if a fresh candidate and “Login” if you’ve registered before.
Fill in the requisite credentials, which will lead to the NMAT 2022 Registration Form appearing on the screen.
Fill in the form and upload scanned copies of all the documents.
Completing the above will lead you to the Payment Gateway, where you need to pay the examination fee.
Click on “Submit”

It’s advisable to download the form and a printout of the same.

A Brief on the NMAT Exam

Conducted by the GMAC, the NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is a nationwide exam that students appear for in order to secure admission into the top MBA and PGDM colleges.

This 2 hour exam tests the students on the Language, Logical, and Quantitative Skills. Candidates awaiting their Bachelor’s results as well as those completing 3-4 year Bachelors course with at least a 50% score (45% score for reserved categories). The former need a written permission from the degree issuing university.
