Selection Criteria:

Candidates for UG programmes must have passed any comparable exam or the Tamil Nadu government's Higher Secondary Course.

• Candidates for postgraduate courses must have passed any comparable exam or earned a UG degree from Periyar University.
• Candidates for M.Phil programmes must have successfully completed Periyar University's 10+2+3+2 programme or have obtained an equivalent degree that has been acknowledged by the university. The minimum requirements for a Master's degree are 55% (with 5% relaxation for SC/ST students) and a minimum of one year of experience in a time-bound research scheme at an affiliated or recognised institution.
