Ponjesly College of Engineering, a Christian minority college affiliated with Anna University, was founded in 1994 and is recognised by the AICTE. There are 208 faculty members at PCE, 44 of whom hold PhDs. The college takes pride in its 500,000 square foot infrastructure.

Within the B.Tech programme, PCE offers seven specialisations; within the M.Tech programme, six, and within the MBA programme, five.

Students who have passed their 10+2 Science exam can apply for the B.Tech programme. For selection, they must participate in TNEA counselling. Students pursuing an M.Tech degree must have completed a B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% of the possible points, as well as the GATE or TANCET, and then they must attend TANCA counselling. Candidates for MBA programmes must have a 50% bachelor's degree and have taken the TANCET.

How to apply for TANCET?

• Go to the Anna University website.
• To register for TANCET 2021, click.
• To generate an ID and password, enter your name, birthdate, email address, and password.
• Re-log in. Complete the TANCET Application Form for 2021 this time.1.31
• Upload a current passport-sized colour photo.
• There will be an additional cost of 600 INR (or 300 for Tamil Nadu SC/ST members), which can only be paid online.
• Once the form is submitted, make a note of the automatically generated application number.

PCE Nagercoil Placement

A specialised placement cell at Ponjesly College of Engineering arranges placements for all courses, including BE, B.Tech, ME, and Masters in Business Administration. The placement cell approaches leading recruiters throughout India to facilitate placements.

The placement cell fees are INR 5,000, and they must be paid in the course's final year of admission. Over the years, the placement percentage has varied between 30 and 70%; the highest package is 4 lakh INR annually.
