1978 saw the founding of Prince Shri Venkateshwara Padmavathy Engineering College (PSVPEC). The college and Anna University are connected. Numerous UG and PG programmes, including B.E., B.Tech., M.E., MBA, and MCA, are available. The college also provides Lateral Entry programmes.

Admission to UG and PG programmes is determined by the college using two criteria: management quota admission and counseling-based admission.
Candidates are chosen for B.E/B.Tech programmes based on their 10+2 grades, which are then reviewed by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).
To be eligible for M.E., MBA, and MCA programmes, applicants must pass the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET).

PSVPEC Admission

PSVPEC provides courses in M.E., MBA, and MCA with several specialisations. The TANCET score is used to determine admittance. Anna University is in charge of running TANCET. To be considered, candidates must be ranked on the university's TANCET merit list. Based on their TANCET rank, the shortlisted candidates are summoned for counselling.

PSVPEC Application Process

Applicants must visit the college campus and complete an offline application form in order to be considered for any undergraduate or graduate course offered by the institution.

• On campus at the college, application forms are available for pickup with payment of a registration fee of INR 200.
• The college committee reviews the applications it has received and makes a tentative selection of candidates.
• For those who make the short list, the college may also undertake the interview phase.
  As soon as the shortlisted candidates' list is made public, the chosen applicants will be notified of the admission dates.
• Alternatively, the application fee may be paid in Chennai by DD made payable to PSVPEC.
