The Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy Foundation is the organisation in charge of the 1998-founded RL Institute of Management Studies. In order to function as an autonomous body, RLIMS acquired autonomy in 2006. MBA degree offered postgraduately by the institute.

A postgraduate degree, the Master of Business Administration, is available from RLIMS. This residential/non-residential programme lasts for two years. The MBA programme at Madurai Kamaraj University has the necessary AICTE approval. The following are the MBA specialisations:

RL Institute of Management Studies Admission

The results of any one of the entrance exams, including the MAT, XAT, CAT, ATMA, and CMAT, are used to determine admission.

CMAT

The All India Council for Technical Education administers the CMAT, a management entrance examination. A candidate must have a full-time bachelor's degree with 50% of the possible points overall in order to be eligible for the CMAT. The four sections that make up the CMAT Exam Pattern are General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation. The shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a written ability test, personal interview, and group discussion following the release of the CMAT results.

XAT

The XLRI Jamshedpur administers the XAT exam to applicants for PGDM and MBA programmes. The official website will host the XAT Application Form when it becomes available in November.The XAT Eligibility Criteria state that candidates need to have completed at least three years of college to be eligible.
