By virtue of Act No. 40 of March 2013, the Karnataka State Legislature founded Rai Technology University, a private university. Rai Foundation is in charge of running the university.

In the areas of engineering and technology, health science, agricultural science and technology, management and technology, natural science, humanities and social science, and related sectors, its main focus is on instruction, training, research, and development. Twelve UG, PG, and research courses are available at Rai Technology University. Undergraduate B.Sc. and B.Tech. courses are offered by the university. Students are admitted to these courses by the university via a personal interview and the Central Entrance Examination. Applicants may apply to university courses if they receive 50% of the possible points in the qualifying exam.

Using the forms found on the university's official website, students can apply for CEE.

The subjects of the qualifying exam (physics, math, chemistry, and biology) will be the basis for the UG entrance exam. There will be fifty objective questions on the test.

For a period of two years, Rai Technology University offers two postgraduate courses in two different disciplines. The Rai Technology University Central Entrance Exam is used by the university to admit students to postgraduate courses. The entrance examination is given in an offline format.
