Salem Sowdeswari College - [SSC], Salem
Founded in 1975 by Amarar Thiru and Dr. J.K.K. Angappa Chettiar, Salem Sowdeswari College (SSC). It is connected to Periyar University and situated in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
Programmes offered by Salem Sowdeswari College include B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., M.A., and M.Sc. Additionally, it offers research courses for M.Phil and PhD degrees as well as professional degree courses for BCA, BBA, MBA, and MCA.

SSC, Salem Application Process
Applications for UG and PG courses can only be submitted offline. It is requested of candidates that they visit the college campus during regular business hours in order to acquire information about the application procedure.
- Periyar University will be inviting applications offline for research courses leading to M.Phil and PhD degrees.
- Candidates in the general category must pay an application fee of INR 300; candidates in the SC, ST, or PH categories do not need to pay any fees.
- The payment must be made in person at Salem to "The Registrar, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem" using a demand draft from any nationalised bank.
- To obtain the application form by mail, candidates are asked to send a self-addressed envelope of INR 40/-, measuring 28 x 13 cm, along with the DD.
- The words "Request for Application Form for M.Phil Admission" should be written on the envelope.
