Since 1993, the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development—also known as SDMIMD—has been one of Mysore's top B-Schools. The NBA has accredited the institution and AICTE has recognised it. The SDM Education Trust established a faculty that is associated with Tumkur University in Kerala and the University of Mysore.

For those with bachelor's degrees, SDMIMD offers PGDM, PGCM, and PGPSM among other courses under the Management stream. A candidate's academic background, performance on any competitive entrance exam, participation in extracurricular activities, and work experience, if any, are all taken into account when determining admission to a PGDM programme. • The shortlist of applicants for admission will be determined by their consistent academic performance, competitive exam results, acknowledgement of their involvement in extracurricular activities such as sports, debates, theatre, fine arts, etc., and, if relevant, their work experience.
• Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their consistent extracurricular activity and academic performance will be invited to a personal interview, which will take place in February or March 2021 at the various locations across India specified in the application form. • Email, phone, or mobile will be used to notify the chosen students. When the first installment of fees is received by the deadline specified in the offer letter, the seats will be reserved for admission.
• Subject to receiving the student's entrance exam results and paying the second installment of fees, the seats will be confirmed.

In addition to academics, SDMIMD offers a number of other on-campus amenities and infrastructure that support students' overall development.

Library: The college library contains 14,000 books, 70 print journals, 39,000 electronic journals, 120 multimedia resources, and other printed and electronic resources.

Computer Centre: With 90 students able to use it, the computer centre is fully air conditioned.

Classrooms: OHP computers, LCD projectors, whiteboards, and audiovisual systems are all installed in the classrooms.

Auditorium: 300 people can be accommodated in the auditorium, which is used for cultural, educational, and recreational events.

Hostel: The campus offers furnished single rooms, a common dining area, a study area, internet access, laundry facilities, and a mess, among other amenities, to students looking for housing.
