In 1989, the Coimbatore Welfare Association celebrated its silver jubilee, and the Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts & Science, or SNMV College, was founded (CWA).

At the undergraduate level, Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts & Science offers B.B.A., B.COM, B.Sc., B.A., and B.C.A. courses. With the approval of the NAAC & AICTE, Bharathiar University - [BU], Coimbatore is offering a three-year full-time regular programme in law.

• The Intermediate exam with Commerce and Accountancy must have been passed by applicants wishing to enrol in B.B.A. and B.COM programmes.
• It will be preferred for candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination with Commerce to be admitted to B.COM courses other than general specialisation.
• The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination with mathematics as a subject will be given preference for admission to B.Sc. courses for all specialisations.
• Applicants for admission to B.A. (English) programmes must have passed the Intermediate exam administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other exam that is comparable and administered by a State Board.

 The candidates will be chosen for admission to undergraduate programmes based on the scores they received in the qualifying exam.

• Candidates for admission to the college's M.Sc., M.COM., M.A., M.S.W., M.B.A., and M.I.B. programmes must have completed their undergraduate examination with a minimum of 50% of the possible points.
• The college offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes to candidates who have passed their postgraduate examination with at least 50% of the possible points.
• According to AICTE regulations, applicants wishing to be considered for admission to the college's M.B.A. programmes must be qualified for any one of the following entrance exams: CAT, MAT, TANCET, or CMAT.
