    One of the campuses of BIHER Chennai is the Sree Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, which is situated in Pondicherry. It was established in 2007. The institute offers UG and PG level MBBS, B.Sc. & M.Sc. in Allied Health Science, and MD/MS programmes. Additionally, it provides Ph.D. research courses.

    Sree Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Admission:

    The institute offers the MBBS programme in two concentrations: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

    • The course lasts for 4 years and 6 months.
    • The students are required to complete a 12-month internship.
    • There are 150 seats available for this programme.

    A entrance exam is used to determine who gets into the programme. Questions in the entrance exam will be drawn from the senior secondary school curriculum. Students must correctly handwrite their answers on the application form in order to apply. The National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) score report and any other necessary photocopies of the original documents, with attestations, must be attached. Only those applicants who are deemed fit by the university's medical examination will be permitted to continue with the course.

    Candidates must have completed their HSC examination/senior secondary school in 10+2 pattern from any State/CBSE/ISC Board school or passed any other examination holding equivalent value with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology. He/she must have secured minimum eligibility marks in order to be eligible for the admission procedure.

    Note:

    The following eligibility requirements must be met by applicants in order to be considered for admission to the MBBS programme:

    • Additionally, the candidate must have reached the age of 17 on December 31 of the academic year in question.
    • The age stated on the candidate's HSC, CBSE, or ISC grade card, as well as on the birth certificate or passport, are used by the university to verify the student's age.
