    2008 saw the founding of St. Peter's College of Engineering & Technology by the Lakshmi Saraswathi Educational Trust. It is situated in Avadi, Tamil Nadu, and is connected to Anna University, Chennai.

    SPCET Avadi offers B.E., B.Tech., M.E., and MBA programmes. 216 postgraduate and 840 undergraduate students are admitted each year for these programmes. The departments of Science & Humanities, Management, and Engineering & Technology offer all of the courses.

    • Applicants wishing to enrol in undergraduate courses in Technology and Engineering must have completed their 10+2 in the Science stream.
    • Candidates for the PG courses must be a Bachelor's degree holder.

    SPCET Avadi MBA Admission

    Postgraduate M.E. programmes in four specialisations and an MBA programme are offered by SPCET Avadi.

    Candidates must have a B.Tech or B.E degree with at least 50% (45% for reserved categories) in order to be admitted to the M.E. programme. Candidates from the reserved categories will receive a 5% relaxation. Applicants to the MBA programme must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the required credits (45% for the reserved categories).

    Through TANCET, the state-level entrance exam administered by Anna University, SPCET admits students to postgraduate courses.

    Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)

    Important points:

    • Candidates with a valid GATE score must apply using the different forms meant for candidates who meet the requirements for the GATE.
    • Those who meet GATE requirements are not required to take the TANCET.
    • The TANCET rank will be released following the normalisation of the candidates' entrance exam scores.
    • Tamil Nadu Common Admissions will handle the merit-based candidate counselling (TANCA).
    • Candidates will need to attend the TANCA process for document verification, seat assignment, and admission process confirmation once the counselling schedule is made public.

    SPCET Avadi Application Process

    Candidates must use the official TNEA and TANCET portals to apply. On the website's main page, they must select the "Register" tab to access the TNEA application forms. Upon successfully completing the registration process, candidates are required to complete the personal and academic qualification forms. Proceed to submit the application and pay the fee.

    Together with the hard copy of the properly completed form, affix the self-attested copies of the following documents:

    1. Class 10thmark sheet
    2. Class 12thmark sheet
    3. Transfer certificate issued by school
    4. Caste certificate (if applicable)
    5. Nativity certificate
    6. Relevant certificates for the children of Ex-servicemen/ freedom fighters.
