Students Demand JEE Main 2022 Postponement

According to the official notification of the NTA, this year’s JEE Main Exam will be held in 2 sessions; April and May. While the April Session will be held across 4 days (21st, 24th, 25th, and 29th), the May session will be held across May 1st, 4th, 24th, and 29th.
It’s these dates that are a bone of contention here, as students are concerned regarding the clashing of JEE Main dates with those of the Board exams.
Student Concerns
First and foremost, the students have been apprehensive about the JEE Main Exam 2022 only having 2 attempts this year, instead of the usual 4 attempts. Apart from that, the students are also not happy regarding the dates of this exam that is clashing with the board exams. The latter is evident through the exams of different boards that are clashing with the MAY SESSION of JEE Main.

Secondly, both the sessions will be held quite close to each other, which means that students won’t get sufficient time to prepare for the next session. This insufficient gap between the JEE Main 2022 session is also one of the major reasons why students have taken to social media, demanding postponement of the exam.
Steps Taken by Students
Dissatisfied students have taken to social media to express their dissent through the hashtag #JEEStudentsWantJustice on Twitter.
Furthermore, students have been constantly tagging the social media handles of authorities like the National Testing Agency (NTA), Dharmendra Pradhan (Education Minister), and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi in their posts demanding the postponement of the JEE Main exam 2022.
"JEE Mains is an important exam that determines the future of lakhs of students. Uncertainty pertaining to these exams is a serious matter of concern for all of us. I urge the authorities to be empathetic towards the students of the nation." - National Students’ Union of India (NSUI)
Currently, the only update that has come from the NTA is the extension of the JEE Main Registration Date until 6th April 2022. For more information/updates on this as well as other management, medical, and engineering exams, keep following us at https://www.getadmissioninfo.com/news
