    The Medical Council of India (MCI) has approved the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), which was founded in 1971. Due to the ongoing efforts of the Delhi Health Ministry, classes started in the Department of Chemistry at Delhi University's North Campus. It began with clinical placements at Meerut Medical College, moved to Safdarjung Hospital, and is now affiliated with Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

    • The hospital opened its doors in 1979 and has a bed capacity of more than 1500.
    • The hospital and college are both in Delhi's Dilshad Garden.
    • Many medical and paramedical courses are available at the college.
    • Every year, 71 students enrol in the MD/MS course, and 150 students are enrolled in the MBBS programme.
    • The institution is part of the triangle of medical colleges connected to the University of Delhi, along with Maulana Azad Medical College and Lady Hardinge Medical College.
    • The organisation is a National Brain Research Centre Network Centre.
    • The Safdarjung Hospitals and Nodal Centre for AIDS are part of the college.
    • Along with the Susruta Trauma Centre and the Jai Prakash Narayana Trauma Centre at AIIMS, it is one of the three public trauma centres in Delhi.

    University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) is a medical school connected to the University of Delhi in Delhi, India.     UCMS MBBS Eligibility Criteria:

    To apply for MBBS programmes, students must complete or take the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 60% in the Science stream or, if they fall under the SC/ST category, 50% in class 12.

    UCMS PG Admission:

    Different post-graduation courses, such as MD, MS are offered by UCMS. These programmes offer a variety of specialisations for which students can apply, depending on their preferences.

    Internal medicine, pathology, paediatrics, microbiology, pharmacology, community medicine, radiodiagnosis, anesthesiology, and obstetrics and gynaecology are among the specialties available in MD.

    UCMS PG Eligibility Criteria:

    The minimum requirement for admission to this course is a graduate degree in MBBS from a relevant field, such as an MD (Doctorate in Medicine) or MS (Masters in Surgery). A minimum of 55% on the graduation exam, and 50% for SC/ST students. A graduation internship is a requirement.

    UCMS How to Apply?

    NEET 2020 scores are used to determine eligibility for admission to all undergraduate medical and paramedical programmes at UCMS in 2020. Both the online and offline modes of the application process are available for these courses. Candidates who submit applications online must follow the instructions listed below:

    • Go to the 'Admissions' tab on the college's official website, www.ucms.ac.in, after logging in.
    • Download the application and complete it with all the necessary information, including your contact information and academic information.
    • To finish the process, pay the required registration fee using any available online method.

    Students may also purchase the form, complete it, and submit it to the college office. According to the rules outlined by the Government of India, UCMS offers reservations for students who fall under the special category.

    • Students who wish to enrol in the MBBS programme must pass the NEET entrance exam. Admission will be determined by the results of the entrance exam. College will administer its own entrance exam for the B.Sc. selection process.
    • For postgraduate programmes like MD and MS, the NEET PG entrance exam serves as the selection process. For the MDS programme, the only entrance exam is the MDS, or Master of Dental Surgery, programme.
