    UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Results Expected on June 14: Check Details Here

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to announce the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Prelims 2025 soon, expectedly, on June 14, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the Prelims exam on May 25, 2025, are waiting for the results, which will determine whether they will be eligible for the Mains examination scheduled for August 22, 2025.

    Every year about lakhs of candidates appear for UPSC, aspiring to serve as civil servants for the country. In 2025, approximately, a number of 5-6 Lakh students appeared for about 979 vacancies. (These figures are approximate values.)

    The UPSC CSE Prelims is the first step in the selection process for the most reputed civil services in the country, namely, IPS, IAS, IFS, and more. The result will be announced in PDF format, which will include the roll numbers of all the candidates selected in the examination.


    How to Check UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Results

    Candidates can access their results by visiting the official website of UPSC

    Here are the steps that the candidates can follow to get the results:


    • Go to the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in

    • Navigate to the “What’s New” or “Examination” section.

    • Click on the link titled “UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 Result”.

    • A PDF file containing the roll numbers of successful candidates will open.

    • Use the Ctrl+F shortcut (or search option on mobile) to locate your roll number.

    • Download and save the PDF for future reference.


    What Happens After the Prelims?


    Candidates who qualify for the Prelims will need to submit the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) to be eligible for the Mains examination. The DAF-I requires candidates to provide personal, educational, and service preference details and scanned copies of essential documents, such as educational certificates, category certificates (if applicable), and photographs must be uploaded.

    The UPSC CSE Mains 2025 will be a written examination, testing candidates on various subjects, including General Studies and optional papers. Those who clear the Mains will proceed to the final interview round, which determines the final selection for the role.
