Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was started in 1988, under the guidance of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture. Late Basant Kumar Birla and Sarala Birla were the founders of this management university. BIMTECH has earned a strong reputation for quality education and is accredited by the AACSB, a U.S.-based international accrediting body. In the latest MBA Universe.com B-school Rankings for 2024, BIMTECH was ranked 10th among the top private business schools in India. BIMTECH offers a variety of AICTE-approved and NBA-accredited Post Graduate Diploma in Management programs. The eligibility to apply includes a valid score in exams like CAT, XAT, or CMAT, along with a personal interview. Applicants must have at least 50% marks in graduation, and students appearing in their final year of graduation in summer 2025 can also apply, but they need to submit their final results by 31st October 2025.

Apart from the general PGDM, BIMTECH also offers specialized programs in International Business, Insurance Business Management, and Retail Management. While the PGDM program also accepts MAT scores, other programs do not. The tuition fee for merit category students is INR 14,00,000 for the PGDM programs. For corporate-sponsored, NRI, or NRI-sponsored candidates, the fee is INR 19,00,000. BIMTECH reserves 90% seats for general merit, 5% for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/minorities), and has extra seats for PIO, foreign nationals, and NRIs. Entrance exams aren’t required for these special categories.
