AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Exam 2025: Check Dates, Pattern, Syllabus

The AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Exam 2025 will take place on 21 June 2025 in CBT mode. It is a national-level test for admission to the Post-Basic B.Sc Nursing course at AIIMS. The application process was completely online, starting in April and closing in May 2025. Candidates from the General and OBC categories have to pay an application fee of INR 2,000, while the fees for SC, ST, and EWS candidates are INR 1,600. Candidates with benchmark disabilities did not have to pay any fee.

Candidates who will pass the written exam will be called for a personal interview, which has 30 marks. The Final selection is based on the combined score of the written test (70 marks) and interview (30 marks). Additionally, the Exam syllabus is based on the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) curriculum. The AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Exam 2025 is a national-level Entrance Exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for admission to the Post-Basic BSc Nursing course at AIIMS campuses. The application process is entirely online and started in April 2025. Interested candidates could apply online via the official website. Also, they need to complete both basic and final registration steps before the last date in May 2025. The application fee is INR 2,000 for General and OBC candidates, and INR 1,600 for SC, ST, and EWS candidates. The AIIMS B.Sc Nursing admit card 2025 is a mandatory document for all candidates appearing for the entrance test held on 21 June 2025. The admit card will be released on 13 June 2025 and can be downloaded online from the official AIIMS portal. To access the admit card, candidates are required to log in using their Registration ID, Registration Unique Code (RUC), and Password.

The admit card provides key details like your name, roll number, exam date and time, test centre address, and important instructions for the exam. The AIIMS B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) answer key 2025 is an essential document for candidates to estimate their probable scores before the official results are announced. The entrance exam will happen on 21 June 2025. Later, the AIIMS Delhi will release the provisional answer key soon after the exam, generally on the same day or within a few hours. Candidates can download the answer key from the official website using their login credentials.

Below is the counselling and seat allotment process for AIIMS BSc Nursing:

Step 1: Result and Merit List: After the entrance exam, AIIMS releases the result and a merit list of qualified candidates on the official website.

Step 2: Online Registration: Qualified candidates must register for counselling on the official AIIMS counselling portal within the specified dates.

Step 3: Choice Filling: Then, candidates need to log in, select, and lock their preferred AIIMS campuses and courses as per the available seat matrix.

Step 4: Seat Allotment Result: AIIMS announces the seat allotment results for each counselling round online. Candidates can check their allotment status on the website.

Step 5: Acceptance of Allocated Seat: Candidates must accept the allotted seat online and choose whether to participate in further rounds or withdraw from counselling.

Step 6: Document Submission & Fee Payment: Selected candidates upload/submit required documents (like mark sheets, certificates) and pay the counselling/seat acceptance fee.

Step 7: Reporting to the Allotted Institute: Candidates report to the allotted AIIMS campus within the stipulated time for verification and completion of admission formalities.

Step 8: Subsequent Rounds:  If seats remain vacant, further rounds (Round 2, Round 3, and Open Round) are conducted. Candidates can participate as per their eligibility and preferences.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The AIIMS BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) Entrance Exam is a two-stage selection process. It includes candidates to appear for a written examination and a personal interview. The written exam is conducted online in a CBT format. The questions in the exam are MCQs from subjects including Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Professional Trends in Nursing.

Candidates are given 90 minutes to attempt all the questions, with a total of 70 marks. AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

The following is the AIIMS BSc Nursing exam eligibility criteria that candidates must fulfil at the time of admission.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have completed their Class 12 or an equivalent from a recognised board or university, with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, English, Biology, or Mathematics.
  • Candidates who passed Class 11 on or before 1986 are also eligible to apply.

Nursing Qualification:

  • A Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council is mandatory.
  • Candidates must be registered as a nurse and midwife (Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, RN & RM) with any State Nursing Council.
  • For male candidates (who may not have completed midwifery training in GNM), registration as a nurse is required, along with six months of training in any of the following specialities:
    • Operation Theatre (OT) Techniques
    • Ophthalmic Nursing
    • Psychiatric Nursing
    • Leprosy Nursing
    • TB Nursing

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Application Form 2025

The application process for the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Application Form 2025 follows the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system, which includes two stages: Basic Registration and Final Registration. The Basic registration began on 8 April 2025, where candidates have to submit personal details and upload required documents. Candidates who have completed this stage could proceed to Final Registration. 

The final registration window opened on 17 April 2025 and closed on 15 May 2025. During the final registration, applicants need to fill out the application form with academic details, select exam city preferences, and pay the application fee online.
