IIM Lucknow is taking admission for MBA, Doctoral and PhD Programs for the 2026 session. Students can apply by visiting the official portal and the last date to submit the admission form is 20th January 2026. For admissions into PGP programs, one must appear for the Common Admission Test, which is a computer-based test. Candidates are then shortlisted for the interview on the basis of their performance in the CAT, academic achievement, and relevant work experience. The next stage in the selection process is the Written Ability Test at IIM. It is expected to start at the end of February 2026, after the result declaration. Final selection will be based on performance in the Personal Interview and Written Ability Test, along with CAT scores, academic achievement, and work experience.

Meanwhile, the candidate must have a valid CAT or GMAT score conducted by IIMs, GATE, GRE, GMAT or JRF/SRF for admissions into PhD programs.

The admissions for PGP-Executive are now live on the official website.

Steps to apply are:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIM Lucknow. You will be asked your preferred language, English or Hindi. 

Step 2: After selecting your preferred language, you will see this screen. Click on the MBA tab.

Step 3: You will see the following screen. Click on the ‘Apply Now’ tab.

Step 4: You will see a screen with instructions to apply for the selected programme.

Step 5: Scroll down, and you will see the proceed tab 

Step 6: Click on the Proceed button, and then you will be redirected to the following screen

Step 7: Enter the details asked for, and don’t forget to check the boxes against the instructions. You can then click on the Register button. If you have already registered, then go to the login tab and enter your registered email ID and password.

The Executive Fellow Programme in Management (PhD) programme offered by IIM Lucknow for mid and senior-level working professionals accredited by AACSB and the Association of MBAs who want to become top leaders.

IIM Lucknow Selection Criteria 2026

The selection criteria for PGP programs may vary across different programs, like PGP, EFPM, and PGPWE. In the case of PGP, a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in the case of SC/ST/PwD) is required. EFPM (2025-26) takes 10th, 12th and graduation with higher standards in marks: 55% in school, 50-55% in higher studies (55% in SC/ST). The applicants need to be aged below 55 years and have 7 years of work experience. PGPWE (2025-27) is offered to bachelors with at least 50 % marks, experience of three years in the work field, and authentic marks in GMAT, GRE, CAT, GATE, or PGPWE entrance test.

Stage 1: Shortlisting for Written Ability Test - Personal Interview

Only the students securing the above-mentioned minimum complete and total percentage for the respective category in CAT 2021 will be considered at Stage 1b. The minimum scores at Stage 1b shall be computed based on the factors described in Table 2.

Stage 1: Scheduling for WAT-PI

The minimum score based on Stage 1b for the candidates who qualify in Stage 1a and the shortlist for the WAT-PI process shall be available on the official website of IIM Lucknow, www.iiml.ac.in. Such aspirants shall be required to submit the WAT-PI form online by the given deadline. The aspirants who fail to submit their WAT-PI form online by the given time limit will not be allowed for the WAT-PI process. IIM Lucknow will not entertain any further queries regarding the cancellation of anyone’s candidature.
