IIM Jammu takes admission in its MBA course based on CAT scores, which is PI through the Common Admission Process (CAP). For the Supplementary Admission Process (SAP), male candidates need to have the 91st percentile and female candidates the 89th percentile. The CAT exam will be conducted on 31st December 2026. After clearing the entrance exam, candidates are called for the next round, like group discussion and personal interview. Candidates need to have at least the 94th percentile in CAT for eligibility. The institute also has an Executive MBA program for professionals. The application requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a minimum work experience of 3 years.

Those who are interested in a long-term management program after Class 12, IIM Jammu has a 5-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) with 120 seats. Students have to appear for the JIPMAT examination to get admission into this program. The final selection is made on the basis of a merit list derived from JIPMAT scores and gender diversity. For General category students, the sectional cutoff in JIPMAT is the 50th percentile.

IIM Jammu takes admission to its flagship MBA/PGP program in 2025 using CAT. The institute provides five management programs, including postgraduate to doctoral programs, and two integrated programs. Besides the MBA-PGP, CAT is used for admission to both the Executive MBA and the PhD program at IIM Jammu.

The selection of students is done in two phases: in the first phase, students are shortlisted for the personal interview on the basis of minimum cut-off marks, and in the second phase, the final merit list is prepared. Step 5: Supplementary Admission Process: If you qualify for IIM Jammu's PI but not CAP, you might still have a chance through SAP, an additional round done by IIM Jammu.

Step 6: Final Merit List: It will be prepared with your CAT score, PI performance, and academic profile. Admission offers will be made based on this final list.

IIM Jammu Selection Criteria 2026

The MBA-HAHM is assessed by CAT score (45%), personal interview (30%), and profile score (25%). The Executive MBA admissions depend on entrance exams (CAT, GMAT, GRE, or IIMJAT) taken by candidates (30%), personal interview (30%), academic profile (15%), work experience (15 %), and gender diversity (10%).

 The purpose of considering gender diversity is to increase inclusivity, especially when qualifications (like academic grades) do not differentiate between candidates. The PhD selection is based on a valid and recognised entrance exam (CAT, GATE, GRE, GMAT, NET, JRF, or IIMJ-RAT for part-time), followed by a personal interview, and consideration of academic qualifications and relevant work experience to establish the research potential.

IIM Jammu provides 7 most prominent courses like General MBA, MBA in hospital administration, dual degree programs like B.Tech+MBA, IPM program (BBA+ MBA), doctoral program (PhD), executive programs like MDP and FDP. Under its postgraduate courses, it provides a full-time MBA, an MBA-HAHM, and a dual-degree course integrating B.Tech and MBA. IIM Jammu determines its CAT 2024 cutoff on the basis of candidate performance in the exam as well as factors like academic record, work experience, and overall profile. The institute announces two categories of cutoff: the Qualifying CAT cutoff and the Final CAT cutoff. If the candidate meets only the qualifying cut-off, it will only make the candidate eligible to receive a WAT/PI call. IIM Jammu was placed 35th in NIRF rankings for the year 2025. It held the 31st rank in the IIRF rankings for the year. IIM Jammu was established by the Government of India in the year 2016 and is recognized by law as a management institute within the nation.

The IIM Jammu Placements 2024 were conducted very successfully with more than 130 recruiters participating, out of which there were nearly 50 new recruiters. The 2022–24 MBA batch comprised 244 students and the average salary was INR 15.48 LPA. This was a 6.1% decline from last year's average packages. The highest package given was INR 31.75 LPA. IIM Jammu Campus

IIM Jammu is located in Jagti, around 14 km from Jammu city, and covers 200 acres. The main campus is still being built, so classes are held at temporary campuses on Canal Road and Jallo Chak. These campuses have modern facilities like big classrooms with Wi-Fi, a digital library, an auditorium, a cafeteria, a gym, sports fields, and medical help.
