    BHU Admission 2025-26: Banaras Hindu University, accepts admission for the academic session 2025-26 through merit and entrance exams conducted nationwide, such as CUET-UG/ PG, CAT, and NEET. Seat Allotment will be done through CAP (Combined Allotment Program). Registration for PG Admission was started on 22 May 2025 and will continue till 10 June 2025 (25 June 2025 for International applicants). Admission is going on for PG programs, such as MBA / MBA-IB, and MVSc.

    Banaras Hindu University, established in 1916 under the Parliamentary legislation 1915 Act, is among the prominent and globally recognised universities of India. It has been accredited by NAAC (2015) with an A grade and is ranked 11th in the Overall NIRF Rankings 2024. 

    The University offers an extensive range of courses such as BPharma, BTech, BDS, MBBS, LLB, LLM, MTech, MPharma, etc., at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in regular mode. It also offers PhD, Diploma and Certificate Programs to Indian students, NRIs, and students abroad. The UG courses are completed in 3 to 4 years, PG in 2 to 3 years, while PhD takes 5 years to complete. The admission process will be completed after the fee payment has been made. The fee structure will vary depending on the course. The basic tuition fee structure ranges from INR 200 per annum to INR 15,000 per annum.

    BHU Admission 2025-26

    BHU offers a diverse range of courses in multiple disciplines such as Arts, Law, Medical, Business Administration, Engineering and Technology, Economics, etc. The most sought-after courses are BA, BSc, MBBS, MDS, LLB, BSc, LLM, BEd, BTech, MTech, etc., in CE, Sanskrit, English, Ayurveda, Veterinary, Dental, Medicine, International Business, etc.

    BHU is inviting applicants for admission 2025-26 for various UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD courses. The candidates will be admitted through merit and entrance exams conducted nationwide. Most Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions will be based on the CUET UG/PG, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), while MBA, MBBS, and MDS admissions will be based on the CAT and NEET, respectively. 

    Therefore, the application fees may vary. CUET- UG started its registration on 1 March 2025, and the exam was expected to take place on 3 June 2025. The admission process for the UG course will start after the result declaration. BHU adopted CAP (Combined Allotment Program) as their seat allotment process, hence, qualified students in CUET are required to appear in CAP after the admission begins. 

    Admissions for PG courses through CUET have already started on 22 March 2025, and the registration for CAP will end on 10 June 2025. The candidates need to register online at www.bhuonline.in and pay an application fee of INR 300. Admission for MBA and MVSc is also in the process, and the application fee through CAT is INR 2000 for MBA, while the application fee for MVSc is INR 900. The Tuition fee, along with the other charges, mainly admission application, security deposits, amenity charges, hostel fees, etc, will differ. The basic fee structure starts from INR 200 per annum and can go up to INR 15,000 per annum for courses like MDS.

    *NOTE: Foreign candidates are exempted from appearing in CUET 2025.

    BHU UG Admission 2025

    Candidates who want to pursue a UG course of 3 to 4 years at BHU are required to clear the national-level entrance examination (CUET-UG) conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). The CUET-2025 was scheduled for 01 May 2025-03 June 2025, admission will take place after the announcement of results. Some of the mainstream courses available at BHU are BDS, BA, BAMS, BSc, BA, BTech, BCom, LLB, etc in English, Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Biotechnology, Statistics, Veda, Animal Husbandry, etc. To pursue a Bachelor’s degree at BHU, it is mandatory to appear in CUET-UG along with the required eligibility criteria, that is, Class 12 with a minimum of 50%. A candidate must pay INR 200 per annum to INR 12,000 per annum as a tuition fee, along with other additional charges, to get admitted to the university.

    BHU PG Admission 2025

    The PG admission at BHU is based on merit and a national-level entrance test, such as CAT, NEET, and CUET-PG 2025, which has already been conducted and has released its scorecard. The PG registration started on 22 May 2025 and will continue till 10 June 2025. CUET-PG 2025 qualifying candidates are advised to apply on www.bhu.ac.in before the end date. Seat allotment through CAP-PG is scheduled to be held on 14 July 2025 to 01 August 2025, following the GDs, interviews, and practical tests that will be conducted between 30 June 2025 to 06 July 2025.

    Multiple courses are provided at PG level such as MA, MSc, MBA, LLM, MCom, MFA, MPharm, etc in multiple streams, namely Ayurveda, International Business, Sanskrit, Science, Agriculture, and so on. The basic requirement to fulfill is to have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 45% and a scorecard of a national-level exam.

    PG courses are generally of 2 to 3 years, hence the fee structure varies likewise. The tuition fee is estimated between INR 200 per annum to INR 15,000 per annum. 

    BHU PhD Admission 2025

    PhD admissions in multiple streams, such as History, Veterinary, Physical Education, Sanskrit, Psychology, etc., will be conducted based on the RET (Research Entrance Test), such as NET-JRF/ UGC/ CSIR and ARSB. NET-UGC started its registration on 16 April 2025 and continued till 07 May 2025, and the exams are expected to be held from 21 June to 30 June 2025. The admission will begin on 07 July 2025 (tentative). The application form for a PhD through RET is available on the official website. 

    The basic eligibility criteria for a PhD are to have at least a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% and a National-level entrance scorecard. The shortlisting will be done through a written test and an interview round. The duration to complete a PhD course generally takes 5 to 6 years. BHU follows direct admission through GATE, NET-JRF, CSIR, and UGC- SLET. The total fee structure for a PhD ranges from INR 1,418 to INR 10,010.

    BHU Admission Form 2025-26

    BHU is accepting admissions for PG through CUET-PG, MVSc through BVSc-AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science in Animal Husbandry), and MBA/ MBA-IB through CAT. The admission dates for PG courses started from 22 May 2025 and will continue till 10 June 2025. The application form for various UG, PG, and PhD courses is available on the official website and can be filled out online mode. The admission fee is INR 50 for every course, while the application fee varies depending on the national test and the category of the candidate. Candidates are required to fill out the application form by registering themselves on the official website, providing their email and contact number, providing personal information, academic information, uploading the necessary documents, reviewing the form, paying the amount, and submitting it.

    BHU Eligibility Criteria 2025

    Basic eligibility criteria for UG courses are to have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50%, while candidates willing to pursue a PG course will require a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 45%-50%. On the other hand, PhD will require a minimum of 55% with a Master’s degree. In addition to all of these, candidates are required to obtain marks in the national entrance exams.

    For UG Courses:

    • For most of the UG courses, admission is based on the CUET-UG.
    • MBBS, BAMS, and BDS candidates will be accepted through NEET.

    For PG Courses: 

    • Most of the PG admissions will be done through CUET-PG.
    • Candidates who want to pursue an MBA will need a CAT score.
    •  BVSc-AH will be the basis for MVSc admission.

    For PhD Courses: 

    • Admission will rely on the written test and an interview
    • Research Entrance Test, such as UGC-NET/ SLET/ CSIR/ JRF and GATE

    BHU Admission Process 2025

    BHU admits candidates from all across India and outside India through merit and national-level entrance examinations. After the announcement of the results of the nationwide conducted exams, BHU invites qualified applicants for their admission process, which is ongoing for PG, MBA, and MVSc. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website. Admission through CUET- UG/ PG will be finalised after the seat allotment through CAP-UG/ PG is concluded.

    BHU Courses and Fees 2025
