• Candidates are required to score a minimum of 50% in the entrance exam. The PSSOU PhD programs are available in Social Work, Hindi, Management, Psychology, among others. 
• Students with a one-year master’s degree or a 2-year master's degree after a 4-year bachelor's degree or a 3-year bachelor's degree, respectively, with a minimum qualifying score of 55%, are eligible for admission at Pt Sundarlal Sharma Open University.
• The PhD course duration at the university is 3 to 6 years, depending on the coursework and the research. The application fee for the PhD program is INR 1,000. 
• The six-month payable fee during the research work for the PhD program is in the approximate range of INR 7,000 to INR 8,500 as per the course type (Practical or Non-Practical).

• PhD:
• Students must hold a 1 or 2-year master's degree with a minimum of 55% in the relevant subject after the completion of a 3 or 4-year bachelor’s degree.
• Additionally, students are also required to clear the UGC NET exam or the university’s entrance exam with a minimum passing mark of 50% as a part of the mandatory requirement.
