The eligibility of CSIR UGC NET 2025 are that the candidate must possess a postgraduate degree in Science or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Final-year students are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis. The CSIR UGC NET June 2025 session application process commenced on 3 June 2025, and the last date to submit the form was 23 June 2025. The application fee must be paid by 24 June 2025, and any necessary corrections can be made during the correction window, which will be open from 25 to 26 June 2025. 

The CSIR NET examination is scheduled to take place over three days, 28 July 2025, and the CSIR net admit card released was 24 July 2025. The application fee for it is INR 1150 for General category candidates, INR 600 for those belonging to the OBC-NCL or EWS categories, and INR 325 for SC, ST, PWD, or third Gender applicants. Before the admit card, NTA will issue a city intimation slip, typically 10-12 days before the exam, to inform candidates of their allotted exam city so they can plan travel accordingly.

CSIR UGC NET Answer Key 2025

The CSIR UGC NET answer key will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) a few days after the exam, which is scheduled for July 28, 2025. Along with the provisional answer key, candidates will also receive access to their recorded responses and question papers through the official portal csirnet.nta.ac.in. Once the answer key is out, NTA will open a challenge window which will be open for 2-3 days, during which candidates can raise objections by paying a nominal fee. After reviewing the objections, NTA will publish the final answer key, which will form the basis for result preparation. CSIR UGC NET only provides the scorecard, and it does not have a centralised counselling system. Candidates who want to get enrolled in any university for assistant professorship or for a PhD would have to apply separately on the site of the particular institute and then would have to follow its admission procedure. 

Step 1: First, candidates must clear the CSIR UGC NET by meeting the cutoff criteria for JRF, Assistant Professor, or Ph.D. admission.

Step 2: After the results are declared, NTA will issue e-certificates for qualified candidates.

General Eligibility

• Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
• Age Limit:
• JRF: Maximum 30 years of age
• Lectureship/Assistant Professor: No paper age limit
• Educational Qualification:

Educational Eligibility

• General/EWS candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Science or related fields with at least 55% marks.
