Here are some important guidelines that candidates need to follow while appearing for the CSIR UGC NET 2025 examination from December 18, 2025:

1. Candidates need to arrive before the starting time of the exam. They won't be allowed to enter the examination center once the gates are closed. 
2. The examination will go on for 180 minutes.
3. Candidates need to attempt questions divided into 5 sections within the time limit.
4. Candidates can score a maximum of 200 marks in this examination.
5. The examination will be conducted in online mode (CBT).
6. Candidates are advised to wear comfortable clothes to ensure that there is no distraction while appearing for the examination.
7. In case of any technical glitch, inform the nearest invigilator to get it solved.
8. Electronic devices, such as phones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth headphones, are strictly prohibited. If any candidate is found carrying them in the examination, they will be automatically disqualified from the exam.
