CMAT Exam 2026: The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The CMAT Exam 2026 will be held in the month of January 2026 and most likely in the 25 January 2026. The CMAT application form 2026 will be released on 17 October 2025, and the last date to apply is 24 November 2025. Step 3: Apply to Colleges Individually: Visit the official websites of the colleges you're interested in and then fill out their application forms along with their CMAT score.

Step 4: Participate in GD/PI Rounds: Most colleges will invite shortlisted candidates for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) while some may also conduct a Written Ability Test (WAT).

Step 5: Final Selection: Based on the CMAT score, performance in GD/PI/WAT, academic background, and work experience (if any), colleges will prepare a final merit list.

Step 6: Seat Allotment and Admission: If a candidate gets selected, they will receive an admission offer and will have to confirm their seat by paying the admission fee.

Step 7: Document Verification: Candidates will be required to carry all original certificates, CMAT scorecard, ID proof, and other documents for verification at the time of joining.

CMAT 2026 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The CMAT 2026 exam pattern & marking scheme consists of 100 multiple-choice questions divided into five sections, and each question carries 4 marks. For every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted, with the total exam time being 3 hours. The exam will be held in online mode only and in the English language.

CMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The CMAT 2026 eligibility criteria consists of general and educational eligibility and is mandatory for students who want to give the exam. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria.

General Eligibility

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age restriction to apply for CMAT 2026.
  • CMAT is open to students from any academic background, including arts, commerce, science, and engineering.

Educational Eligibility

  • Students must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.
  • Students who are in the final year of graduation and will complete their degree before the start of the academic session (2026–27) are also eligible to apply.
  • There is no minimum percentage requirement in graduation to appear for CMAT.

CMAT Application Form 2026

The CMAT 2026 Application Form process will be started on 17 October 2025, and the deadline for registration form is 24 November 2025. Students can fill out the application form on the official website. After filling the registration form, NTA will open a correction window on 26, 28 November 2025, which will allow students to fix any mistakes they made while filling out the form. 

The CMAT registration process begins on the official website, where students must sign up by submitting basic information such as their name, mobile number, and email address. After successful registration, candidates should log in again to fill in all required academic and personal details. The application fee is INR 2,500 for male candidates from the general category and INR 1250 for female and reserved category candidates. 

CMAT Cutoff 2026

The CMAT 2026 cutoff is the minimum score needed to get into one of the top MBA colleges. It will be released in February or March 2026 after the results are declared in the 2nd week of February 2026. Most top colleges may ask for a score between 250 to 350, depending on the college and the category the student belongs to.
