The NTA announced an official date for the release of the CSIR UGC NET answer key 2025 yet. However, based on previous years, the provisional answer key is likely to be released on January 1, 2026. Once it's out, candidates can download it from the official CSIR UGC NET website. After that, NTA will open a window for objections. If any candidate wants to challenge an answer, they will need to pay a fee of 200.

Only the challenges submitted with payment will be reviewed. Once all the objections are resolved, NTA will likely release the final answer key for CSIR UGC NET 2025 on January 2026. The final answer key will contain correct answers to all the questions that appeared in the CSIR UGC NET 2025 December session examination. Step 3. After locating the answer key, check the answer key and download it on your desktop/device.

Step 4. Compare your responses to the correct responses and calculate how many correct answers were ticked.

How to Object Answer Key?

If there is any error in the CSIR UGC NET 2025 answer key, candidates need to inform the university by emailing them and paying the fees of INR 200. In the email, candidates need to explain the error and attach a picture of the error as proof. The official CSIR UGC NET mail ID is csirnet@nta.ac.in. Candidates appearing in the examination can send their objections related to discrepancies and any queries regarding the admission process to this email. 

The university will evaluate the errors senby the candidates and release a final answer key after resolving all of the discrepancies. After the release of the final answer key, the university won’t entertain any complaints regarding the errors in the answer key.

CSIR UGC NET 2025 Provisional and Final Answer Key 

After the CSIR UGC NET 2025 examination, the university will first release a provisional answer key. This answer key is meant to provide candidates with an initial idea of the correct responses to the exam questions. However, this answer key is not final and may contain errors or discrepancies.

Candidates can challenge the answer key if they find any errors during the objection window. To do so, they must send an email to the official contact ID mentioned above with proper justification and proof for their claim and pay the fees of INR 200 via net banking, UPI, or debit/credit card. Only paid objections will be entertained.

Objections will be evaluated, and necessary corrections will be made in the answer key. Once this process is complete, the final answer key will be released. The final answer key consists of all the correct answers to the questions that appeared in the examination. It can’t be challenged like the provisional answer key.

CSIR UGC NET Answer Key 2025 Marking Scheme 

There are a total of 120 questions, of which candidates need to attempt 70 questions. Candidates can score a maximum of 200 marks in the CSIR UGC NET 2025 examination. This exam is divided into five sections, which candidates need to answer within 180 minutes. The marking scheme of the exam is as follows:
