Kota University PhD Admission

The University of Kota allows admission in the PhD (5-6 years) courses, through university-level and national-level entrance exams. Admission is expected to begin on 7 June 2025 (Tentative), and the last date to apply for admission is 15 July 2025. 

The admission process will be followed by further steps, which include an entrance test, expected to be conducted on 6 August 2025 and an interview round, which will be held in the first week of September 2025. It is mandatory for the domestic students to appear for the entrance exam, whether they have appeared in the national-level exams such as UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET/JRF, GATE/SET/CEED or not. 

It is expected of students that they fulfil the basic requirement, that is, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55%. The fee will range between INR 6,000 per annum to INR 8,000 per annum, and the entrance test fee for the General Category is INR 2500, while candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC/ PwD category will be required to pay INR 1000.

• National-level exams like NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) and RMCAAP (Rajasthan MCA Admission Process), and a BCA or equivalent Bachelor’s degree, will be the basis of admission into the MCA course.

• PhD Course: Students planning to apply for the PhD course will be accepted based on marks obtained in national-level tests, such as UGC, NET, GATE, university-level examinations, and a Master’s degree.
