About University: TNDALU was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the Act of State Legislature (Act No. 43 of 1997). The university was inaugurated on 20 September 1997 and started on 3 October 1997. It was recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and University of Grant Commission (UGC) and was the first full-fledged law university which offers legal education through its campus and affiliated colleges located in the state of Tamil Nadu.
