CAT 2025 Registration Started: How to Apply, Admit Card, @iimcat.ac.in

CAT 2025 Registration: CAT 2025 exam (Common Admission Test) is scheduled for 30th November 2025. The authorities have already released the notification about the important dates, and registration is going on. The registration has started on 1st August 2025, and the last date to apply for the exam is 13th September 2025. Registered candidates have to appear for the exam on 30th November 2025 at the time mentioned in their CAT 2025 admit card. The result dates are not announced yet, but they are expected to be released in the first week of January 2026. Once the results are out, the IIMs will release the merit list and the selected candidates need to appear in the college for the further admission process. How to apply for CAT 2025 Registration? 

Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted for students who want to take admission in the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). These institutes offer courses in postgraduate programmes in management, notably MBA. Students who want to take admission in the MBA courses in IIMs or any other business school of India have to appear for the CAT 2025 on the designated date and time. Before that, candidates have to register for the exam first, and then they are eligible to take the exam. To register for the CAT 2025, interested candidates have to follow the instructions given below carefully to avoid any cancellation of candidacy or mistakes in the registration:

Step 1: visit the official website of CAT iimcat.ac.in.

Step 2: Candidates will see a ‘New Candidate Registration’ Link on the left side of the screen. Click on the link, it will redirect them to the registration page.

Step 3: Now, the Registration portal will open, where candidates need to fill out the details like:

• Name of the Candidate
• Date of Birth
• Email Address
• Country
• Mobile number

Step 4: After filling in the details, candidates need to click on the ‘I Agree’ button on the right side of the screen and then click on ‘Generate OPT’

Step 5: An OTP will be sent to your email address and mobile number for verification purposes.

Step 6: Once candidates fill in the OTP to verify, they now have a registered ID and Password to start the application process via email.

Step 7: Now, using the registered email address and password, candidates will need to go back to https://iimcat.ac.in/ to initiate the application process.

Step 8: Through logging in, candidates can fill out the application form by providing their academic and personal details with the scanned documents. 

Step 9: After the registration and application process, candidates have to wait for the exam date. 

How to Download the CAT 2025 Admit Card?

Once the application process is completed, before the day of examination, the conducting body will release the admit card on https://iimcat.ac.in/. Here are the steps which candidates need to follow to download the CAT 2025 Admit card, which is the most important document needed to be carried on the date of examination:

Step 1: On the official site, candidates will see a live link ‘CAT 2025 Admit Card’, they need to click on that.

Step 2: After that a new window will open which required your registration details and password to login into your candidate account.

Step 3: Once you logged into your account now the admit card will show on your screen, tap on the download button to get your admit card.

Step 4: Save it on your computer, drive or any other place for the safer side and also take a printout as well.
