CDS 2 Application Form 2025 (OUT): Correction Window Open

The application form for CDS 2 was released on 28 May 2025, and the application window closed on 20 June 2025 (extended). Interested candidates had to go to the official website of UPSC to fill out the application form online. The application form costs INR 200; female candidates and candidates from the SC/ST category are exempt from the application charges. 

The examination will be conducted on 14 September 2025. It's divided into 3 shifts for each subject, including English, GK, and elementary mathematics. The total duration of the examination is 6 hours; candidates will get a break after completing each shift. This examination is conducted to select candidates for seats in various defense academies of our country. Candidates who qualify the examination and interview process will get admission in OTA, IMA, INA, etc. 

CDS 2 Application Form 2025

The application form for CDS 2 was made available on 28 May 2025, and the deadline for applications was extended until 20 June 2025. Interested candidates had to visit the official UPSC website to complete the application form online. There is an application fee of INR 200 for male candidates from the general and OBC categories. Female candidates and those from the SC/ST categories do not have to pay for the application form. 

The exam is scheduled to take place on 14 September 2025. It will be conducted in three shifts, covering the subjects of English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. The total duration of the examination is six hours, with breaks provided after each shift. This exam is important for selecting candidates for various defense academies in the country. Those who pass both the exam and the interview will be eligible for admission to institutions such as OTA, IMA, AFA, and INA. Guide to Completing the CDS 2 Application Form 2025

To fill out the CDS 2 application form, candidates should follow these steps: 

Step 1. Head to the official UPSC website at upsconline.nic.in and find the CDS 2 application form.

Step 2. Complete the first registration process, which involves providing personal information such as name, a valid email address, a mobile number, etc.

Step 3. After that, candidates will receive a registration ID.

Step 4. Use the registration ID to complete the 2nd registration.

Step 5. It required candidates to fill out the form with all of the required information and upload the documents (photograph, signature, educational qualification certificates).

Step 6. Submit the application form after reading the declaration carefully.

Step 7. Lastly, candidates need to pay the application fee online through net banking or a debit/credit card.

Step 8. Then just submit the application form and print it for future requirements. 

CDS 2025 Document Required 

Here is a list of documents that are required to apply for the CDS (2) 2025 examination scheduled to be conducted on 14 September 2025. Candidates must upload the documents mentioned below while filling out the CDS 2 application form:

1. Government-issued proof of identity (e.g., Aadhaar card)
2. Proof of Essential Educational Qualification
3. Category certificate
4. Scanned copy of candidate’s signature
5. Candidate’s recent passport-size photograph 

CDS 2 Application Correction Window 2025

After the completion of the application form, The UPSC will be opening the correction window for candidates to edit the details mentioned in the application form. This includes the name, DOB, address, contact details, and documents that were uploaded while filling out the application form. 

There is no official date announced for the opening of the correction window. This facility is available for only a certain time period after the application period closes. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website to get updates regarding the correction window. As any error in the application form can result in the rejection of the application or disqualification of the candidate.
