The CLAT 2026 examination, which was held across India, was successfully conducted on December 7, 2025. A total of 92,344 candidates applied for the CLAT 2026 exam, with an increase of 17% more applications. Among them, 75,009 candidates registered for the Undergraduate programme, while 17,335 candidates applied for the Postgraduate programme.

This examination was conducted by the Consortium of the National Law Universities for admission into India’s National Law Universities (NLUs). The exam was held at more than 156 centres in 93 cities, 25 States and 4 Union Territories.

CLAT 2026 Answer Key: How to check and download

The Consortium of the National Law Universities, which conducted the CLAT 2026 examination, will publish the provisional CLAT 2026 answer key on its official website at 5 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Candidates who wish to challenge any questions may submit objections through the portal. The Objection portal will remain open from 5 PM on December 10 until 5 PM on December 12, 2025.

CLAT 2026 Answer Key: How to submit Objections

To check the provisional Answer Key of the CLAT 2026 examination, students have to go through the following steps: 

Step 1. Log in to your CLAT account with your login credentials.

Step 2 . Click on the ‘Submit Objection’ button. 

Step 3. Select the Question Booklet set. 

Step4. Select the question number, and enter your objection details

Step 5. Click on the ‘Submit’ button to proceed with the page. 

Step 6. After submitting the Objection, click on the ‘Make Payment’ button. Students have to pay a fee of INR 1,000 will be paid for each objection.
