CLAT 2026 Seat Matrix Update: New Seat Allocation at NALSAR Hyderabad
The Consortium of the National Law University has released the modified reservation format of the Scheduled Castes of Telangana category for the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) Hyderabad. It has been separated into three different sub-groups, namely SC-TL (Group I), SC-TL (Group II), and SC-TL (Group III). The reclassification is consistent with the Telangana State Rationalisation of Reservations of SC Act and has been made for a fair distribution of reserved seats among various Scheduled Caste communities in the state. Candidates are instructed to look at the official government of Telangana document on the rationalisation of SC reservations to know the group in which their sub-caste falls.
The Consortium has conveyed the message to all the candidates of CLAT 2026 that if they have chosen the SC-TL category for NALSAR, they must first check their reservation category and then, if necessary, change it to the correct sub-group. The update window will be available only for a limited time: the candidates should complete the process by December 1, 2025, no later than 11:59 PM. In case of failure, their category data may not be updated for the new structure during counselling and seat allocation. The change is only a few days from the CLAT 2026 exam, which will be held on December 7, 2025, making it imperative for the aspirants to act without delay.
CLAT 2026 Seat Matrix Update: Steps to Update the SC TL Category
Step 1: Log in to the CLAT 2026 official website.
Step 2: Navigate to the homepage and select the link “Update SC-TL Reservation”.
Step 3: From the drop-down menu, choose the correct sub-category: SC-TL Group I, SC-TL Group II, or SC-TL Group III.
Step 4: Save your options to ensure your updated reservation category is recorded for NALSAR’s seat matrix.
Step 5: Visit the Participating Universities section and open the updated NALSAR Hyderabad brochure to check detailed category-wise seat information and other admission updates.
