CUET UG 2026: NTA’s Key Guidance on Aadhaar, UDID, and Category Certificate Updates

The National Testing Agency(NTA) is going to hold the CUET UG Exam 2026 in May 2026. Candidates will be able to access the application form in May 2026 till the last date, which will be announced later. NTA has released the key guidance for students to update their important documents like Aadhaar Card, UDID Card, and category certificate, to avoid any kind of delay and rejection. 


Once the application form is released, candidates need to register themselves first, and then the form-filling process will start. Candidates need to submit documents such as Aadhaar Card, Class 12 Marksheet, Class 10 Marksheet, UDID and Category certificate if applicable. In order to submit these documents, applicants need to follow the guidelines released by the NTA. After the form-filling process, candidates can also make changes in some of the categories during the correction window period. 

NTA’s Guidelines for CUET UG Exam Documents Submission

According to the official advisory released by NTA, candidates need to follow the following instructions: 

  • Aadhaar Card: Applicants need to ensure that the Aadhaar Card’s details, like name, DOB, and father’s name are accurate and match with class 10 documents, while the photograph should be recent and updated. 
  • UDID Card: If applying under the category of persons with disabilities candidates need to submit the renewed and up to date document. 
  • Category Certificate: If belonging to the EWS, SC, ST, or OBC, candidates need to submit the updated document and need to be verified as per the rules of the state or central authorities.

CUET UG 2026 Expected Date

As per the CUET UG 2025 Exam, the exam date can be expected in starting of the 2nd week of May 2026. The application window is likely to open in the first week of March 2026 and continue till the last week of March 2026. This exam will be conducted in 13 Indian Languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu) and will contain a total of 37 subjects (13 languages + 23 domain-specific subjects + 01 General Aptitude Test). The exam will contain 50 questions for each test paper and all questions will be compulsory. The duration of exam will be for each exam paper will be of 60 Minutes. The exam will be done in multiple shifts depending on the number of Candidates and Subject choices.
