How to Calculate Marks with an Answer Key

Candidates can calculate their GATE scores using the answer key. The first step towards calculating scores with the answer key involves downloading the answer key and response sheet. Candidates can compare their answers with the official key, and take note of the correct and incorrect answers. Refer to the marking scheme to get results. 

• Questions either carry 1 mark or 2 marks
• Negative marking for every wrong answer in an MCQ
• For every wrong answer of a 1 mark MCQ, 1/3rd mark will be deducted
• For every wrong answer of a 2-mark MCQ, 2/3rd mark will be deducted
• No negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ or NAT questions
• No partial marking in MSQ
