IGNOU ODL Admissions 2026: Application Opens, Apply Before the Deadline
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened its online admission portal for the January 2026 cycle for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes, marking the start of a fresh round of registrations for students across India and abroad. Interested candidates can apply online before 31 January 2026 for courses such as UG, PG, Certificate and Diploma courses. The dedicated admission website welcomes applications to explore a wide range of academic options and complete their admission process entirely through the digital platform.
The portal has been launched exclusively for open and distance learning programmes, underlining IGNOU's core mandate of providing flexible higher education to diverse student groups, such as working professionals, homemakers and students in remote areas. Through the ODL mode, learners can pursue certificates, diplomas, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes without the need for regular classroom attendance, relying instead on self-learning materials and limited contact sessions.
