Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT Mumbai)
Institute of Chemical Technology was founded in 1994 and situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is a public deemed university that is popularly known as ICT Mumbai. Earlier, The institute was famous with the name of the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT Mumbai). It is one of the premier engineering colleges in Maharashtra that is a constant ray of producing good engineers, in the field of chemical technology, biotechnology and etc.Â
On the basis of ICT Mumbai’s brilliant performance in consecutive years the state government of Maharashtra has granted its elite status of elite Institute. All the courses of this engineering institute are approved by the UGC. Also, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has given NAAC A++ grading. The institute offers various facilities and a perfect study environment.
The Institute of Chemical Technology holds a decent rank in the various categories of QS world ranking. There are two more campuses in the country apart from the main campus. The one is in Bhubaneshwar (Odisha), and the other one is Marathwada (Maharashtra). Both new campuses have a wide area of land.
Odisha Campus
In March 2018, President Ram Nath Kovind, Governor of Odisha, and the petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the ICT Mumbai Oil Odisha Campus. The institute has signed the MOU with IIT Kharagpur and collaborated for various research activities.
Marathwada Campus
More than 200 acres of land approved by the state government of Maharashtra to set up the Marathwada Campus of the Institute of Chemical Technology. On 04 May 2018, the foundation stone of this campus was laid by the former CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis.

According to ICT Mumbai Fee structure, the above-mentioned expenses do not include the hostel and mess fee of the institute. Students will pay the hostel (dormitory) fee separately from the tuition fee.Â
Institute of Chemical Technology Hostel fee is 16,555 INR for triple sharing. For double sharing, the fee is 17,501 INR annually. Hostel development fee and electricity fee are included in the accommodation fee.
ICT Mumbai Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to qualify the eligibility criteria of the institute. Different study programmes have various admission requirements. For admission in Btech courses, there is certain information about age limits and academic qualifications mentioned below.Â

Students should have to gain ICT cut-off marks in either JEE Main or MH-CET. However, the Institute of Chemical Technology MHT CET cutoff may vary for different category students. Last year, the cut-off score was below than expected due to the fewer number of students appearing in the exam. UDCT cut-off 2024 is expected to be tough as the JEE Main exam is scheduled in 4 different sessions.

There are 4 hostels inside the Institute of Chemical Technology campus. 2 hostels are dedicated to boys and 2 for girls students. They have to apply for hostel allotment just after getting admission to this institute. It is compulsory for every hostel living student that they join the hostel mess. There are three canteens in the hostel. It offers good food with a changing menu every day.
