JBIMS Admission 2026

JBIMS is taking admissions for the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, which conducts a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for students to MBA/MMS programs in July of each year. Candidates who have appeared for the MAH, MBA CET, CAT, or CMAT exams may register online for the CAP. After registering, candidates are able to upload the required documents and view/select the colleges. The candidates are allotted seats by the DTE based on merit, category, availability of seats, preference, and the schedule of different rounds of seat allotment released by DTE in the academic session. Students who are seeking admission in MBBS and PGDM programs and have applied for these programs, their admission will be done through the CAT exam which is being conducted on 30th December 2025.


Once the candidates have been shortlisted for seat allotment, they must also re-accept the seats online and must report to the respective institute to carry out the further admission process. With this, candidates are allotted to a management institute through a systematic, transparent, and merit-based process between management institutes within the state of Maharashtra.

JBIMS PG Admission 2026

To apply for the MBA program offered by JBIMS, candidates must first take an admission test, either the MAH-CET exam or the CAT exam. The application window for these exams generally starts from August 2025, and the CAT Exam is scheduled on 30 November 2025. Other exams, like CMAT, which is on 14 November 2025, are also accepted for admission. 


After taking the exam, they will have to join the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), run by the Maharashtra CET Cell for the seats, which are based on merit. The selection process includes scores from entrance tests and rankings in the Centralized Admission Process rounds, along with a potential in-person selection exam that may feature a group activity, a written test, and an interview.

JBIMS Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026

The eligibility criteria of the various postgraduate and doctoral programmes of the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management are as follows:


Master’s Programs (MMS, M.Sc. Finance, MHRD):

  • Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in Class 10th (SSC) and Class 12th (HSC) or their equivalents. For reserved category candidates, the minimum is 55% marks.
  • Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a University approved by the University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities (AIU) of at least three years duration with at least 50% aggregate marks and 45% for reserved categories.

Part-Time MMS:

  • Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a UGC-recognised university.
  • They should have a minimum of two years of work experience in an executive or supervisory role as of June 15, 2025.
  • Self-employed candidates need to provide supporting documents such as Income Tax Returns for the last three years, company registration, and partnership deed proving their active, central role in their business.

Ph.D. Program:

  • Candidates should hold a postgraduate degree in Business Management or a related discipline.
  • They must qualify in any of the exams, such as PET, NET, SET, or GRF.
  • Selection also includes a personal interview along with a presentation of their research proposal.

JBIMS Admission Process 2026

The admission process for all 6 programs offered by the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies offers a different admission process altogether. Refer to the information mentioned below to know the admission process of the various courses offered. 


MMS Program:

Step 1: Successfully attempt the Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test- MAH-MBA CET conducted by the State Government.

Step 2: Attend the Centralised Admission Process organized by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.

Step 3: Admission will be on the basis of merit, and CAP counselling rounds for admission and seat selection will be allocated.


M.Sc. Finance:

Step 1: Submit an online application form for M.Sc. in Finance before the deadline.

Step 2: Attend the MAH-CET or CAT entrance exams, depending on the institution.

Step 3: Depending on your entrance exam results, along with your academic credentials, you will be short-listed for subsequent rounds.

Step 4: Appear in the Group Discussion, which will include an assessment of communication and analytical skills.

Step 5: Attempt a written test to measure subject knowledge & aptitude.

Step 6: Finally, attend a personal interview assessing motivation, ambition and suitability for the program.


MHRD Program:

Step 1: If you want to be considered for eligibility, submit the scorecard of your valid MAH CET or CAT.

Step 2: The shortlisted candidates will be called for the second step in the selection process.

Step 3: You will take a group activity - an assessment of your group work and leadership potential.

Step 4: You will attend a personal interview - an assessment of your relationship management and communication.


Part-Time MMS:

Step 1: Fill out the admission application form and pay the application fee before the last date.

Step 2: Take the common entrance test for admission into part-time MMS.

Step 3: Take part in a group discussion session which will assess your communication and group work skills.


Ph.D. Program:

Step 1: You must have a master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject. 

Step 2: You must have qualified in any national or state eligibility test (PET, NET, SET, GRF, etc.). 

Step 3: You must have attended a personal interview to present your full research proposal and demonstrate the relevant preparatory work and research capability.

The Master of Management Studies and the Master of Science in Finance are both two-year full-time programs. JBIMS Fees Structure 2026

JBIMS provides many management programs with various fees and eligibility criteria. For example, the flagship MMS program has a tuition fee of INR 6.01 Lakhs, with admission requirements of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% in bachelor’s. The M.Sc. The finance program has a tuition fee of INR 3 Lakhs with admission requirements of having a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50%, and mathematics completed in either the undergraduate or 12th grade and a minimum of 60% marks in 10th and 12th grades


The MHRD program has a first-year tuition fee of INR 3.5 Lakhs. Part-time MBA fees are substantially less than the full-time programs, with a tuition fee of INR 63,075, where any graduate with a minimum of 2 years of work or self-employment experience is eligible.


Finally, the research-based PhD program has the lowest tuition fees of all programs, with fees of INR 17,680 in the first year, then INR 15,355 in subsequent years, and requires a postgraduate degree in management or a management-related discipline.
